Funk legend joins the Eagles and Morrissey as fellow bill-topper
PRINCE is to join the Eagles, Bryan Ferry and Patti Smith at this summer’s Hop Farm Music Festival near Tunbridge Wells.
“Prince is one of the biggest artists in the world,” said Vince Power, Hop Farm festival organiser.
“To get him to Hop Farm is incredible.”
The Purple Rain legend is to headline a newly announced third day at the festival, on Sunday 3 July. Support acts for this third day will be unveiled at a later date.
As well as the Eagles and Morrissey – bill-toppers for the first two days – acts already booked for Friday and Saturday include Iggy Pop and The Stooges, Morrissey, Lou Reed and 10cc.
Tickets for the first two days, 1 and 2 July, are already available. Tickets for the 3 July go on sale tomorrow, 19 May.
